Commercial-Grade Marine Communications

The HX380 is designed for demanding marine environments and comes equipped with:

• USA Marine VHF channels

• Canadian Marine VHF channels

• International Marine VHF channels

Its commercial-grade construction combines a polycarbonate housing with a die-cast chassis for use in demanding working environments.

Selectable 5W / 1W Transmit Power

Choose between 5-watt and 1-watt transmit power depending on your communication requirements.

The selectable output provides flexibility for situations where higher transmit power or reduced output is appropriate.

IPX7 Submersible Protection

The HX380 meets the IPX7 waterproof standard and is rated for submersion to approximately:

3.3 ft. / 1 m for up to 30 minutes

This provides additional protection when the radio is used around boats, docks, waterways, and other wet environments.

Rechargeable Lithium-Ion Power

The HX380 includes a rechargeable lithium-ion battery pack designed to provide more than 13 hours of operation based on a 5/5/90 duty cycle.

Actual operating time can vary depending on transmitting, receiving, scanning, battery condition, environmental conditions, and other usage factors.

A charging cradle along with 110VAC and 12VDC chargers is included.

40 Programmable Land Mobile Channels

In addition to its marine channels, the HX380 supports up to 40 programmable Land Mobile Radio channels across the specified 134–174 MHz frequency range with CTCSS and DCS signaling.

Land Mobile Radio operation may require appropriate FCC or other applicable authorization or licensing. Users are responsible for operating the radio only on frequencies they are authorized to use.

700mW Speaker

A powerful 700mW internal speaker is designed to provide strong audio output in environments where surrounding noise can make communications difficult to hear.

NOAA Weather & Weather Alert

Built-in NOAA weather functionality provides convenient access to weather information while on the water.

The HX380 also supports Weather Alert, helping users stay informed of applicable weather advisories.

Multiple Scanning Modes

The HX380 provides several channel-monitoring options:

• Programmable Scan

• Priority Scan

• Dual Watch

• TRI Watch

These functions provide flexibility for monitoring multiple channels and priority communications.

10 Favorite Channel Presets

A dedicated preset function allows quick recall of up to 10 favorite channels, making frequently used channels easier to access.

Programmable Channel Names

Channel names can be programmed for easier identification, allowing frequently used channels to be labeled according to their purpose.

Battery-Level Indicator

The HX380 provides a battery-life indicator so users can monitor remaining battery power during operation.

Optional Communication Accessories

The radio supports compatible optional speaker microphones and headsets for applications where additional communication accessories are useful.

An optional FBA-40 alkaline battery tray is also available separately.
